Description

voltz logomilliVoltz isolated DC-DC converters provide silent power to your pedal effects. They work by either bucking or boosting the input voltage from the Voltz battery pack unit to provide the required voltage for the effect pedal. Each milliVoltz converter has a output filter circuit as well as an isolation transformer which equates to no noise causing ground loops in the power chain.

milliVoltz are as powerful as a normal AC-DC wall wart, providing up to 750mA of output each, depending on the output voltage.

milliVoltz are also scalable because of the daisy-chain configuration in which they are installed. If your pedal board requires another output, all that is required is another milliVoltz in the power chain.

With the interchangeable tip configuration on the milliVoltz, it is able to provide power to any effect pedal that requires DC voltage.

Need help selecting the right milliVoltz? Please visit our pedal compatibility guide or contact us at 281.664.1206.

Available Voltages (Sample Pedals):

9VDC  (BOSS and majority of effect pedals)
12VDC (BOSS ACA style, some Guyatone, TC Electronics, Seymour Duncan)
15VDC (Radial Engineering, Taylor, Hiwatt CTE, Aphex Punch Factory, BOSS RC-50)
18VDC (some Dunlop, some Fulltone, some EHX, some MXR)
24VDC (ElectroHarmonix)
40VDC (ElectroHarmonix)

How to Use

We know that sometimes trying to figure out how things are put together and work can be confusing, so we've put together a short description of how the milliVoltz connectors go together and work to make it a bit easier for everyone.

Tody Castillo

A - milliVoltz multi-tip - Actual tip size is marked on one side and the output polarity is marked on the other. Reference the compatibility chart included to ensure you are using the right tip size and polarity for your application.  This is an isolated output so there is no noise produced when powering an effects pedal.

B - milliVoltz multi-tip base - Provides the base to connect the output tip to the effect pedal voltage source coming from the milliVoltz converter. The base is conveniently labeled with the voltage output. Be careful to make sure that this voltage label matches with the voltage required by the effect pedal you are trying to power.

C - milliVoltz 18.5VDC output - Gives power to another milliVoltz converter when connected. Only plug this output into another milliVoltz unit. This is a non-isolated DC output and may cause damage and noise if plugged directly into an effect pedal.

D - milliVoltz - DC/DC isolated output voltage converter.

E - milliVoltz 18.5VDC input - Plug coming from either another milliVoltz DC/DC isolated converter or from the main Voltz Battery and Charger power source via the provided 12" male-to-male jack connector.

F - 18.5VDC input - Power input jack for the plug connector coming from another milliVoltz DC/DC isolated converter or from the main Voltz Battery and Charger power source via the provided 12" male-to-male jack connector.

G - Status light - If you see green, then you are good to go. The light only comes on when there is power present.

How to Buy

The Voltz Effect Pedal Board power supply needs both the milliVoltz converter and the interchangeable tip to power effect pedals. Click on the How to Use tab to see the description on how the system works.
