How to Open SMC Skype Wifi Phone Battery Compartment

 

Open the Battery Comparment Cover

You might want to change the battery of SMC Skype Wifi Phone. You might want to reset a locked phone. You need to open the battery compartment, but find the cover is a little too tight. Here is a step-by-step instuction.

1. Turn the phone over, and you will see the cover of the battery compartment.
2. On the cover, there is an area which you can put pressure on. (Please see the area pointed by a red arrow in the picture).
3. Push down on that  area using your finger and then slide the cover in the direction toward the bottom of the phone (where you can see the USB port).

This is simple, isn't it? But, some phones are built with a tight cover. We have received some phone calls asking how to open the cover. By following the instructions above, you should be able to do so.
