How to Clean Personal ECG Machine
Personal ECG / EKG monitor measures the elctrical activities generated by a person's heart. The electrical pulses reflects the heart's condition and performance. The ECG monitor uses two or more electrodes to measure the electrical pulses and displays them on a LCD screen. The electrodes must be clean and free from dirt for accurate measurements.
The personal ECG machine can be cleaned gently with a soft cloth slightly damped with water, disinfectant alcohol or detergent and then wiped with a dry cloth. If the electrodes are dirty, wipe the dirt off using a soft cloth or cotton swab.
Never submerge the unit in any liquid. Do not wipe the device with benzene, gasoline, paint thinner, concentrated alcohol or other volatile detergents.
